Study Permit Application Timeline – Fall 2026 Intake (Waiting for Update)

I wanted to check if anyone has a similar timeline or can share their experience with my study permit application. University: University of Waterloo Program: Master of Engineering (Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering) Intake: Fall 2026 Visa Application Timeline: Applied: July 8 BIL Received: July 8 Biometrics Completed: July 12 Upfront Medical Completed: June 10 Current Status: No update since biometrics I have already paid my first-year tuition and GIC, and my financial documents show sufficient funds through savings and investments. My university has requested that I provide my study permit approval before September 18, so I’m getting a little concerned about the timeline. Has anyone with a similar timeline received their approval recently? Do you think it is realistic to expect a decision before the university deadline? Would really appreciate any insights or recent experiences. Thanks!
