IRCC Approval Letter and Email Delays?

ProudShore279: Yes, this can happen—GCKey sometimes updates before the email or letter is actually sent, so a short delay isn’t necessarily a concern. If the documents are showing as submitted in your account, I’d give it a few business days before contacting IRCC.

LMIA Processing Time in 2026: How Long Until You Get Your Work Permit?

KeenCoast460: It depends on the LMIA stream, but if your employer applied in June, it could take a few months just to get the LMIA decision. After approval, the work permit has a separate processing time, so I’d realistically expect several months in total.

Question about Canadian work experience

ArcticDream441: IMO - I don’t think you can apply under CEC until you’ve actually completed the required 1 year of eligible Canadian work experience, even if your Express Entry profile already shows you as eligible. IRCC will verify your actual employment dates, so if your ITA comes before you complete the year, it’s safer to wait until you meet the requirement before applying.

Will Irregular Salary Payments Be an Issue - foriegn work experience ?

ArcticBear987: As long as your employment documents clearly confirm the required work experience and the salary deposits can be explained with supporting records, irregular payment patterns alone may not be a major issue, but be prepared to provide an explanation if IRCC asks.
